  For the customer, the ECB•S certification is a guarantee that the security characteristics according to the European standards are met. Consistent external quality surveillance of series production at the certificate holders` ensures a high quality level of the ECB•S certified products – for the benefit of the customer.

Series products which comply with the certified product in conjunction with the permitted technical
documentation are marked with the ECB•S certification mark by the certificate holder. This certification
mark documents that the products

1. have been certified by the ESSA
2. meet the requirements in accordance with the relevant European standard
    (e.g. EN 1143-1, EN 1047-1), and
3. have been manufactured under a certified quality system in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 (EN ISO     9001:2000)

As a result, the ECB•S certification mark gives the user maximum certainty for investment decisions and
the insurance sector a sound basis for risk calculation and the related security technological classification.
