  The ESSA – Your partner for certification  
     
  As a Europe-oriented certifier in accordance with EN 45 011,
European Security Systems Association (ESSA) e.V. is offering
the security industry a broad range of certification
services relating to

• products providing protection against burglary
• products providing protection against fire
• high security locks
• fire safety storage cabinets

The ECB•S certification at the same time confirms the products` compliance with the European standards.

For the user, type tested and certified products make sure that the desired safety features and quali-
ties are actually provided. The ECB•S certification mark is a clearly visible trademark for a type tested, certified and consistent product quality.

The certification mark gives important information

• about the product,
• about the European standard,
• about the resistance grade, protection class and lock class, respectively,
• about the serial numbering (identification of manufacturers and prevention of unauthorised use).

Since 1996, the ESSA has been a member of the European Fire and Security Group (EFSG), the European platform of the national certification bodies for burglary resistance products, alarm sys-
